WHY I LOVE THIS HEIRLOOM

RED STREAKED Rocket is a gorgeous Arugula! This pungent, flavorful wild variety has oak-leaf-shaped, serrated leaves, traced with striking maroon. The pretty flowers and seed pods are also edible! It looks and tastes wonderful in summer salads, and it’s a wonderful addition to ornamental beds and containers, too.  A must for pesto, pasta and great pizza! This leafy green vegetable is native to the
Mediterranean region and southern Europe. We
know that the ancient Romans ate arugula. It was
even mentioned in the Old Testament of the Bible as well as the Jewish Talmud.
TASTING NOTE: Spicy & nutty
