The deep green, crinkled outer leaves enclose a solid, tender, light green heart of remarkably sweet flavor. They have finely-wrinkled, savoyed leaves that are mild and sweet in flavor. Savoy lacks the sulfur like smell when cooking that other cabbages can have.
